aboutThings to do in Cincinnati with a party bus or charter bus rental

Aug 6, 2013 - Krohn Conservatory, Cincinnati

Sometimes, after returning from a holiday, we feel like we need another day to rest our tired bodies. Yet, we always look forward to planning another holiday with the family. One good way to bond with the family without having to burn a hole through your pockets as well as not returning from the trip all tired and worn out is to go for a leisure walk in a conservatory. It may sound a little boring but not so if you were to rent a Cincinnati bus and have the bus driver send you and your family to the Krohn Conservatory.

The Krohn Conservatory was built in 1933 and when you arrive at the entrance of this place with your family in the rented bus, all you probably see is just aluminum and glass walls, but don’t be too disappointed yet. You have not entered into the conservatory so don’t be too quick to judge that the place is not worth your visit. Remember the saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”? Well, for this place, you can’t really judge it by the looks of the entrance because it was built at the height of the Art Deco era, hence the looks.

As you enter into the Krohn Conservatory, which is also one of Cincinnati Parks’ nationally recognized parks that exhibits more than 3,500 plant species collected from around the world; you will see the rainforest directly ahead of you. As you walk through the winding path with beautiful rainforest flowers around you, you will soon come to a little cave where you can walk though and this is one of the favorite spots in the conservatory for many kids.

Even though this may be your first trip to the Krohn Conservatory with your family in a rented Cincinnati bus, you will be pleased to know that the exhibits inside changes throughout the year and they have different kinds of events and programs running all year round. During their annual “Butterfly Show”, they have thousands of butterflies flying around in a special themed garden. Inside the conservatory, they also have their famous rainforest waterfall with some of their permanent displays in the Palm, Tropical, Desert and Orchid houses. During Christmas, the Krohn Conservatory is a favorite place to visit as they will have on display a life size nativity scene just right outside the conservatory. Hence, if you have enjoyed your first trip here, perhaps you would like to visit again during Christmas – so, be sure to make arrangements to book a bus if you wish to; you know how busy things can get on holidays such as Christmas!
